The Opportunity:
Return to work Advisor will provide best practice and comprehensive case management using evidence-based strategies to drive successful return to & recovery at work outcomes for both work injuries and non-work health conditions in accordance with relevant legislation and AIAA policy & procedures.

In this role your primary focus will be on providing early intervention and return to work services to support the early and safe return of AIA employees to the workplace following an injury or illness.
- Proactively managing work injury processes, workers compensation, return to work (work & non-work injury) in line with current legislation and AIA Australia Procedures across multiple states including planning, implementing, and monitoring return to work plans
- Liaising with workers compensation insurers, salary continuation claims administrators, providers, and relevant regulatory bodies
- Proactively managing non work injury / illness processes and Salary continuance claims and liaise with external claims administrator
- Maintaining effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to implement strategies and work collaboratively to ensure effective claims and injury management
- Reporting on progress and status of workers compensation and non-work rehabilitation programs
- Liaising with our rehab and shared value teams to offer employees’ access to early intervention services that are offered to AIA customers as appropriate

To be successful in this position, you will have:

- Previous demonstrated relevant workers compensation and injury management experience
- Return to work certification
- Good Knowledge of Work Health & Safety and Workers Compensation legislation
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Tertiary qualifications in a health discipline (desirable)
