**About the role**

As the Operations Manager, you will report directly through to the General Manager. In this position you will provide management and strategic direction to the service leadership team. Every day will be varied; offering new and exciting challenges to give you a sense of job satisfaction.

HMG offers customers a comprehensive and unparalleled range of component reclamation and reconditioning technologies including:

- Large capacity CNC and manual machining,
- Chrome plating:

- Hydraulic cylinder overhauls:

- Cylindrical grinding and various thermal spray coating services.

As the Operations Manager you will proactively promote values of safety, customer service, productivity, quality, and leadership; to ensure that our customers receive the best quality product that our brand stands for.

**You will bring**:

- Accountability over the profit and loss statement
- budget planning, management of the budget and operational targets to drive improvement strategies
- Promote safety through proactive risk-based decision making
- Capability to build and foster high performing teams
- Monitor daily and monthly metrics and implement improvement strategies as required.
- The drive to deliver:

- Quality services that meet customer expectations and production targets
- Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes to increase overall performance

**Your skills and qualifications to succeed in the role**
- Experience in Mining and/or Heavy Engineering industries
- Exceptional communication (verbal and written), including the ability to lead, influence, motivate and build relationships.
- Demonstrated capacity to develop practical, innovative improvements and solutions to enhance customer satisfaction
- An understanding of sales and marketing strategies and plans, for optimum brand exposure, to ensure the growth of our customer base
- Strong business and commercial acumen
- The ability to plan budgets for the Service Department, including coordinating expenditure items
