**The Opportunity**

Boeing Defence Australia is shaping the future of the Australian space industry and delivering some of the nation's most important programs for the Australian Defence Force. We are looking for personnel with space industry experience, space operations experience, or space enthusiasts looking to launch their space career. We are seeking a range of disciplines to join our space programs portfolio and our satellite communication programs portfolio.

We are seeking a **Satellite Communications Operations Lead**with apassion for **Satellite Communications Solutions** to influence and guide development of the JP9102 Sovereign Satellite Communications Component. The Operations Lead provides operational context and guidance to the project technical community, coordinates customer workshops, and elicits feedback and guidance from Boeing's customers and the end-user community.

**Responsibilities**
- Coordination with customers to establish, control, and develop SATCOM Operator facing products in conjunction with the Integrated Product Teams providing engineering solutions.
- Provide operational context and guidance on solutions in SATCOM planning, end-user terminal configuration, and spacecraft operations.
- Have an active role on the development of SATCOM solutions at Boeing, providing practical input and operational advice in support of systems development including requirements development, system design, solution alternatives, use cases, training products, human factors, safety, security, and Acceptance Verification and Validation.
- Facilitate collaborative working relationships between customers, end-users, and industry stakeholders, underpinned by a high level of trust and communication.
- Be a key participant in product demonstrations to customers and end-users.

**Experience/Qualifications**
- Associate Diploma or equivalent technical qualifications in a relevant technical discipline in the SATCOM domain.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in the relevant technical discipline (SATCOM planning and/or spacecraft operations).
- Previous experience coordinating and collaborating with multiple stakeholders on technical issues.
- Experience interfacing with Australian Defence Force personnel.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen and hold, or have ability to obtain, an Australian Defence security clearance to Negative Vetting level 2.
