**About the Centre**

The Peter Krenz Leisure Centre is owned by the City of Greater Bendigo and proudly managed by YMCA Victoria. The Centre provides a wide range of programs and activities, including Learn to Swim, Group Fitness, Recreational Swimming, Health and Fitness, Stadium and Squash hire. The main goal of the YMCA is to provide opportunities for all people to be more active, more often and help them reach their personal fitness goals. Our friendly team is highly qualified and has the experience to help you reach your training goals - whatever they may be.

**About the Role**

Joining our team as the Health & Fitness Coordinator means becoming part of a vibrant and inclusive community. We value teamwork, excellence, and continuous improvement and are passionate about connecting communities with physical activity.

You will play a key role within the leadership team, driving the performance outcomes for the health and fitness team while providing a high quality and robust programming schedule, focusing of driving participation and member retention.

In this role you will oversee our health club and group fitness programs portfolios. You will be a considered decision maker and will be able to manage a multitude of tasks utilising good time management and organisational skills.

You will also assist the centre manager by working as part of the Manager on Duty roster, where they provide support to customers and staff across all areas of the facility.

This is a full-time position with an annual salary of $64,833 plus super and Y benefits.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about the health and fitness industry and eager to to learn the ropes and play a key role within the leadership team.

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
- Think creatively with a solution focused approach
- Be approachable and personable, with a customer focused approach to your work
- Well acquainted with current trends in the health and fitness industry

**Essential Qualifications**
- HLTAID009- Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- HLTAID011- Provide First Aid
- Cert III or IV in Fitness (or equivalent)
- Current Fitness Registration

**Other Desirable Qualifications/Skills**
- Pool Lifeguard Certificate or willingness to obtain
- Leadership experience
- Relevant diploma or equivalent
- Sport and Recreation and/or Facility Operations experience
