**As HR Advisor, you will specifically:
Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019 and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. [Mandatory for all Role Profiles]
Work collaboratively with, and support, a multi-disciplinary team to provide contemporary HR advice and support.
Work with the Centre (West Morten Youth Detention Centre and the Wacol Remand Centre colleagues to develop strategies and plans to implement diversity, equity and inclusion networks, activities, and communication within the department which will include an assessment of current resources and training.
Support the team on recruitment, payroll and rostering when required.
Work with the HR Manager in developing strategic HR programs to address workforce issues, including case management.
Support, promote and embed DYJVS's people initiatives through proactive engagement with stakeholders.
Write and/or review complex reports, briefing notes, submissions and, where required, provide verbal briefings, workshops and presentations to senior leaders and staff.
