**Position Purpose**:This role is responsible for driving continuous improvement and ensuring
compliance across Mayflower’s Aged Care Homes and Home Care Services.
The role focuses on supporting managers and staff in accreditation and risk
management, overseeing audits, and developing action plans. It includes
reviewing and managing policies, promoting quality outcomes, and ensuring
adherence to relevant legislation and standards. Additionally, the role seeks to
identify and implement innovative projects that enhance best practices in
resident care and seniors living outcomes, contributing to the ongoing
development of Mayflower’s quality framework.
**Qualifications and**
**requirements**:
**Mandatory**
- Division 1 Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Continuous Improvement or
Compliance role in the aged care industry
- A current driver’s license
- A current and satisfactory Police Check.
**Desirable**
- Tertiary qualification in a health or management discipline.
- The successful completion of a formal quality management education
program at a recognised institution.
- Infection Prevention Control experience

- Promote and adhere to the Mission and Values of the Mayflower Group.
- Oversight and implementation of the requirements of the Aged Care Quality
and Safety Commission, including self-assessment, gap analysis, mandatory
reporting and preparation for accreditation.
- Management of complaints and incidents.
- Promote and drive Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) throughout the
organisation.
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- Coordinate and monitor the Continuous Improvement Plans for the
Mayflower Group.
- Ensure compliance with current acts, legislation, regulations, codes and
standards.
- Ensure that policies and procedures are current and reflect industry best
practice.
- Analyse data and report trends to appropriate areas and EDACSL.
- Provide feedback to the Executive Management Team in relation to CQI
activities.
- Provide monthly reports on compliance and quality activities to the EDACSL.
- Co-ordinate and monitor Outbreak Management and COVID Safe plans.
- Liaise with IPC leads to ensure infection control processes and training are
ongoing.
- Oversight of data collection for National Quality Indicator Program and other
mandatory data collection requirements.

- Identify and train internal staff in CQI auditing in collaboration with the
relevant Managers.

- Identify opportunities to promote and implement person centred care
initiatives.
- Provide leadership in promoting an organisational culture of person centred
care.

- Pursue ongoing development in order to enhance knowledge of contemporary
practices and broaden understanding of own responsibilities.
- Relieve in other management roles from time to time as requested by the
EDACSL.

- Comply with the OHS Act 2004 including:
- Take reasonable care to ensure your own safety, not place others at risk by any
act or omission, follow safe work practices and procedures, use and care for
equipment as instructed, not wilfully and recklessly interfere with safety

meet OHS obligations.
