The New Acland Coal Mine (NAC), a thin seam open cut mining operation is owned and managed by New Hope Group. NAC based in Acland, 35km north-west of Toowoomba, has played a key role in the Darling Downs region as an employer and economic contributor since it began operation in October 2002.
**About the role**:
Based at New Acland Mine and reporting to the Project Execution Manager, you will manage and coordinate the execution phase of capital projects.
As the **Project Lead, **you will**:
- Manage and coordinate the execution phase of capital projects
- Provide input in the identification, selection, and definition phase deliverables of the project lifecycle.
- integrate activities and inputs from functions and project stakeholders to deliver the project’s scope of work in accordance with the approved scope.
**You will bring**:
- Strong commercial expertise and strategic thinking ability
- Financial Literacy and understanding of key business financial drivers
- Proactive, positive attitude and self motivated
- Excellent written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise, manage workload, and meet targets and timeframes
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting ability
- Demonstrated success in leading multiple construction teams across functions and working with team leaders to achieve organisation objectives
- Working with and influencing senior level decision makers
- Experience in contract administration processes
- Engineering experience and tertiary qualification in civil / mining / mechanical engineering is an advantage
