**The Opportunity**

We have an opportunity for a Principal Policy Officer Legislative Reform, Biosecurity to be part of our Biosecurity Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.

The primary purpose of the role is to provide advice to the Program Manager in the delivery of policy, program, and legislative reform to support agency and government goals, targets, and priorities.

The role contributes delivering the agency’s priorities including development of Veterinary Services Regulations and amendments to other Biosecurity legislation as required.

**Requirements**:

- Possession of a current driver’s license and willingness to drive.
- Out of hours work and inter / intrastate travel may be required.

- The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.
- **Desirable**: An appropriate tertiary level qualification or experience in legislative and regulatory reform.

**Remuneration**

ASO7 - $108,109 min - $116,864 max per annum, plus superannuation
