Reporting to the Director Connected Care, the General Manager Health Programs is responsible for the delivery of one of five Connected Care priorities - supporting customers to get well and stay well with a near national footprint of Health Programs.

Leading the Bupa Telehealth team and supporting the Healthcare Programs team, this role is critical to the strategic and sustainable scaling of all health programs and the successful delivery of Connected Care’s broader agenda.

**What will your day look like?**
- Creating and inspiring a high-performing team who have a reputation for thinking outside the box, collaboration, and a passion for healthcare.
- Working closely with the Experience Lead to support the execution of the health needs prioritised at a Connected Care-level.
- Managing the delivery of Bupa’s telehealth services to the Health Insurance (HI) customer base. This includes negotiating and managing contracts with third party providers, as well as ensuring adherence to clinical governance, regulatory and quality requirements.
- Overseeing the delivery of Bupa’s health programs to the HI customer base. This includes supporting the negotiation and management of contracts with third party providers, as well as ensuring adherence to clinical governance, regulatory and quality requirements.
- Identifying and delivering scalable opportunities working with healthcare partners that will strengthen Bupa’s profile as a trusted healthcare partner and provide support to Bupa’s customer base.
- Helping to uplift the APAC business’ health literacy including informing them on domestic and international healthcare service and cost trends as well as industry stakeholder changes of note.
- Providing insight, knowledge and expertise to support other teams to make key business decisions to support a balanced approach to Bupa’s growth and profitability ambitions.
- Working with HI operational teams - in particular the Healthcare Management and Domestic Retail Portfolio teams - to drive seamless and high-quality customer service.

- Demonstrated experience leading high performing teams and able to create strong team cohesion and a commitment to coaching and development of teams to ensure they are set up to deliver extraordinary results.
- Tertiary qualifications are desirable and skills or training in business management, health service or related disciplines are an advantage.
- Exceptional internal and external stakeholder management including negotiation skills.
- Experience in management roles, ideally within strategy, finance, or commercial functions and ideally in the healthcare environment.
- A track record of achievement and delivery in a relevant commercial field with experience in managing multiple portfolios and interpretation of financial analysis.
- A strong understanding of customer experience and customer centricity principles.
- Strong ability to think outside the box and willingness to find new ways of delivering system improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas simply and with all levels of the organisation and the ability to influence at the most senior levels and an ability to rapidly build relationships with key stakeholders, working across organisational structures.
- Demonstrated experience leading high performing teams and able to create strong team cohesion and a commitment to coaching and development of teams to ensure they are set up to deliver extraordinary results.
