**About the Opportunity**

Coordinate and manage Certification Technical Officer (CTO) activities and support the Submarine Safety & Certification Manager (SSCM) in the running and organisation of the SCG Department.

**About you**
- Ability to obtain Major Systems Qualification (SCG-MS-001) within 6 months of obtaining position.
- Appropriate trade qualifications with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a maritime, naval, or dockyard environment.
- Proven engineering knowledge of systems or equipment on-board ships and/or submarines.
- Proven ability to work unsupervised in a variety of sophisticated technical activities.
- Experience in conducting Subsafe witnessing activities: IIs, HATs and SATs.
- Competent with RAN Subsafe Program.
- 4. 5 years’ experience with Collins Class Submarines.
- Detailed knowledge of submarine operations, specifically in areas of equipment, system and personnel safety.
- Proven leadership skills.

**Eligibility**

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
