About the role
Working onsite from the ground floor counterat 55 King Street MELBOURNE, you will support a team handling in-person and phone enquiries from VCAT's users in relation to all of VCAT's divisions.
You will need to build a strong and positive relationship with your team, managers and colleagues.About you
We are looking for a team leader that can inspire and empower staff to do their best work. You will be dedicated to coaching staff to provide the best possible customer service. You will enjoy engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders and will have a high level of resilience, remaining calm in high-pressure situations. Knowledge of the VCAT Act, and associated legislation is highly desirable.
To ensure you are set up for success in this role you will need to:
- be a highly organised and resilient team player and leader
- provide your team with ongoing support and coaching to allow them to perform successfully
- effectively manage resource availability
- have excellent communication skills and be able to tailor your language to your audience
- resolve complex enquiries and escalations from VCAT's users and other stakeholders
- demonstrate a proven ability to manage competing priorities
- possess well-developed interpersonal and negotiation skills
- have proven experience in building professional relationships at all levels
- work effectively with other internal departments
- identify and initiate areas of process improvement and best practice to enhance service delivery
- actively participate as part of the Leadership Group
- lead by example to grow respect, cooperation, and collaboration within the team
- be punctual and reliable
