**About the role**
We’re looking for a forward-thinking **Manager, Merchandise Foundations**to lead the technology solutions that power product, pricing, ranging, and inventory management across our business. This role is central to optimising our merchandise systems, ensuring they are aligned with strategic goals, resilient, and designed to meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Reporting to the **Group Head of Core Retail Delivery**, you’ll shape the technology strategy for merchandise foundations, drive continuous improvements, and enable data-driven decision making. You’ll also play a key role in collaborating across Core Retail and Tech teams to deliver impactful business outcomes.

**What you’ll do**
- Lead and optimise merchandise foundations through innovative use of technology systems.
- Lead and develop a team of up to 7 fostering growth and collaboration
- Provide strategic oversight of merchandise products, pricing, ranging, and inventory systems to support business and customer outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Core Retail and Technology to deliver on broader priorities.
- Drive operational efficiency through data-driven insights and continuous improvement.
- Proactively monitor systems to maintain stability, reduce risk, and strengthen resilience.
- Support and inspire your team to thrive and grow, while contributing to an engaged and collaborative Core Retail team.

- Proven experience in merchandise or retail technology systems (pricing, product, ranging, inventory).
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to build engaged, high-performing teams.
- Strategic mindset with a track record of delivering tech-enabled business outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- A focus on risk management, operational stability, and continuous improvement.
