Tyrecycle Maintenance Fitter

**Your New Opportunity**:
We have a great opportunity for an experienced **Maintenance Fitter** to join our dynamic team at **Somerton**, **VIC,** working hand in hand with the plant’s production department.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining all plant equipment, safely and efficiently.

This will be an **afternoon shift** position_._

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Performing preventative and breakdown maintenance on the site’s fixed plant & equipment.
- Ensuring that maintenance tasks are conducted safety, and in compliance with any quality and/or environmental regulatory requirements.
- Actively participate and assist in equipment upgrades and installation.
- Recommend improvements to eliminate repeat defects.
- Consult and coordinate with other site employees.
- Participate in Toolbox Talks, actively taking part to resolve operational and HSEQ issues.

**About you**:

- Cert 3 - Engineering trade qualification in either:
- Mechanical
- Fabrication
- Tool Making
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a maintenance role in a similar industry, e.g., mining, manufacturing, recycling, etc.
- Understanding of safety & quality systems and procedures.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Sound problem solving abilities and strong attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Be self-motivated and be able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
- Forklift Licence - must have.
- Current licenses / tickets including working at heights, confined space, will be highly regarded.
- MIG and arc welding experience preferred.
