About the role

Fullbore Quarry Services' is seeking a skilled Drill Fitter/Heavy Duty Mechanic/Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in Somerton, VIC. This full-time role will involve the repair and maintenance of a range of Sandvik Drill Rigs and light vehicles essential to our quarry operations.

What you'll be doing

  1. Diagnose, repair and service quarry drill rigs and other equipment
  2. Maintain and service light vehicles, including utilities and trucks
  3. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and perform scheduled maintenance
  4. Ensure all equipment is well-maintained and operating safely and efficiently
  5. Provide technical support and advice to the operations team
  6. Maintain detailed records of all repairs and servicing

What we're looking for

  1. Relevant trade qualifications in diesel/heavy vehicle mechanics or similar
  2. Proven experience as a mechanic/fitter in a mining, quarrying or construction environment
  3. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  4. Excellent mechanical and technical knowledge
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  6. Commitment to workplace health and safety
  7. A current driver's licence
