Treehouse has recently opened their Casework Support Scheme (CSS) which provides high-quality, person centred support for young people and families in the community. Offering a range of services that include, supervised contact, mentoring and respite, our dedicated Case Work Support Team will provide comprehensive assistance on our client’s journey to achieve their goals. **The Opportunity** The goal of the Case Work Support Scheme Therapeutic Carer is to contribute to the safety and wellbeing of the young people of Treehouse so that they can learn and grow in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. Directly reporting to the CSS Team Leader, you will support the development of our young people and their families to overcome their challenges and achieve their goals. Some responsibilities include:
- Support Children, young people and their families who may have significant challenges, complex trauma and are involved in the Child Protection and/or Out of Home Care (OOHC) System).
- Work across a rotating roster to cover shifts that include contact visits, in home supports, respite, transports and mentoring supports working with Children’s and their families across the Sydney Region (Primarily the Western Suburbs).
- Create and maintain a positive therapeutic environment while upholding safety standards for the children and young people in care.
- Foster and maintain a safe environment ensuring the needs of the young person (and their families) are met through utilising goal focused supports through various plans, i.e. case, behaviour, cultural, etc.
- Ensure the completion of daily case notes utilising internal case management systems in order to maintain accurate and up to date records of the children and young people in care.
- Attend monthly team meetings and supervision in a group and individual setting.
- Adhere to OOHC regulations acting in accordance with the mandatory reporting guide to ensure the safety and welfare of children and young people.
- Adhere to Treehouse Innovative Families safety protocols that safeguard both the young people and the team, i.e. hazard and incident reporting.

**Selection Criteria/Requirements**
- Up to date Probity checks that include a NSW Paid Working with Children’s Check, National Police Check, First Aid and a Drivers Licence/ access to a vehicle.
- Attained or working towards a relevant Bachelor's Degree, Diploma or Certificate IV (Community Services, Youth/Social Work, etc.)
- Consent to be added to the Residential Care Workers Register
- Available to work across a rotating shift based roster
- Experience working with young people/children.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills alongside computing skills.
