**The Opportunity**

We are seeking a talented **Contracts Specialist** to support our Programs in **Adelaide**. You will be responsible for supporting various contracting activities, including tasks such as developing and negotiating timely and quality proposals leading to the contract administration/execution of these transactions. You will frequently deal with key stakeholders within the business, advising and guiding them in contractual interpretations and negotiations. You will also deal directly with customers and their Contracts, Commercial and legal advisors.

**Responsibilities**:

- Exercises appropriate signature authority in negotiating and contracting for the sale and support of aerospace products, services, technologies, financing and the licensing of intellectual property to support company strategies.
- Supports presentation of business solutions to preserve and expand the business. As a member of a team representing the company supports external negotiations to a diverse set of customers.
- Authority to prepare, negotiate, execute, interpret and administer legally binding contractual agreements for The Boeing Company.
- Coordinates with other internal functional disciplines. Summarizes contractual issues, supports development of creative solutions and coordination of contractual risk mitigation.

**Experience/Qualifications**
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (e.g. Law, Accounting or Business Management). Formal qualification in Law is highly desirable
- At least 3 years' experience in a Contracts Specialist role
- Excellent drafting skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- Previous demonstrated experience with Australian Standard Defence Contracting (ASDEFCON) suit of templates is highly desirable
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
