**The Role**:
Reporting to the Procurement and Purchasing Manager, located at our global head office in Kilsyth, Melbourne, the Purchasing Officer is responsible for converting internal Purchase Requisitions into Purchase Orders, ensuring compliance with business rules and supplier requirements, then issuing orders to suppliers. The Purchasing Officer will also be required to monitor the delivery of outstanding orders, manage price discrepancies, and generally liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve disputes and support the ongoing delivery of purchased products and services.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Convert Purchase Requisitions raised by ARB Branches to Purchase orders on suppliers.
- Monitor and update ETA’s of incoming goods, follow up suppliers and communicate status, and follow up requests from Branches.
- Monitor the open order report and take appropriate action to ensure orders are fulfilled.
- Support domestic freight invoice processing.
- Monitor any price discrepancies and/or errors and raise Supplier Cost Amendment forms where applicable with supporting justification.
- Raise Credit notes for Branches as required.
- Support processing of Goods Returns as applicable.
- Participate in supplier reviews and improvement opportunities as required.

**About you**:

- Experience in a similar role highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with previous exposure to supplier management.
- Data Analysis e.g., tracking outstanding orders, delivery dates, overdue orders.
- Ability to work under time pressure and manage multiple enquiries for support from varying areas and functions.
- Possess mid-level to strong capability in MS Office particularly MS Excel.
