Hays Technology are currently partnered with a well-established Client to appoint a Senior UX UI Specialist to a 4.5-month contract with potential extension.

**Your new role**

As the Senior UX UI Specialist, you will use your best practice expertise, research and analysis skills, and customer-centric approach to develop, design and continuously improve experience across a range of user platforms including website, app and social media. This is a varied and dynamic position which provides a valuable contribution to the strategic and creative direction of the Client's digital communication; working to provide insights-driven creative and messaging that informs the organisation’s interactions with residents. Working alongside all areas of the digital team and various stakeholders, this role is responsible for embedding a user-focused and best practice mindset within the branch. You will join an inclusive and supportive group of digital communication specialists, where skills-sharing and collaboration are the key to ensuring the team enjoys excellent performance, provides innovative solutions and maintains a positive culture. The team is currently involved in an exciting four-year project to evaluate digital channels and develop communication structures which are both strategic and customer centric. The aim of the project is to optimise the user experience to ensure that each Brisbane resident has access to the insights and services important to them, and as the UX UI specialist, you will be an invaluable contributor to the project’s success.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will also include:

- Build prototypes in Figma using Council’s Design System for new website content.
- Write documentation and implementation guide for Adobe Experience Manager component build.
- Support the quality assurance and review of Adobe Experience Manager componentry as part of the development cycle.
- Provide consultancy to content strategists to align new website content with user-centric experiences.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in attaining this role, you will have:

- 1 - 2 years in a similar role within digital marketing and experience of design across multiple platforms; web, mobile web, and native apps.
- Experience within government and/or a service-based organisation.
- Knowledge of best practice UX design principles and expertise across a combination of UX software such as Sketch, Axure, InVision, Adobe XD, Figma or equivalent.
- Experience developing UI documentation, understanding interactions and being able to articulate in detail design specifications
- A passion for driving and delivering an excellent customer experience, with a strong folio of user centred design e.g., personas, customer journey mapping, wireframes, proto-types
