We are **bold, imaginative, respectful **and** compassionate.** **About the opportunity** Uniting is seeking experienced Local Admissions Officer based in Bateau Bay/Central Coast area, NSW, working with a group of our "Residential Aged Care" services, on a part-time basis. Our Local Admissions Officers are core to the Uniting team, and provide a vital service to potential residents, their families and our allied health referral partners. As the key Admissions contact for consumers, who are looking for care, you will be responsible for ensuring all enquiries are answered and options explored so that everyone receives the information and attention required to make an informed decision on their future. Having an empathetic attitude when dealing with people and a positive, constructive mindset to find the right solutions is at the very heart of this role. You will also need to demonstrate a pro-active mindset, ensuring hospital and allied health contacts in the area are aware of Uniting’s residential care options, building relationships and becoming seem as a local expert in the transition to aged care. **Key responsibilities include**: - Communicate with potential clients, their families, and other stakeholders, all of whom may have varied needs and queries in relation to prospective entry to residential care - Ensure all incoming enquiries are answering and relevant communication is documented, being responsible for updating the CRM - Promote the Uniting Residential Aged Care Services within your locale, ensuring the right match of resident to service, based on factors ranging from Care needs, to Financial situation and Lifestyle options. - Work for the continuous improvement of our service to ensure it’s the best it can be, in line with legislation and Uniting Policy. **Qualifications & expectations** - Certificate IV in Business Administration, Customer Service or equivalent qualification/experience - Full NSW Driving License - Experience in similar role desirable - Flu vaccination **Skills & experience** - High attention to detail and ability to problem solve, negotiate, mediate and resolve conflict - An understanding of the Aged Care Sector - ideally Residential Aged Care - Well-defined networking, relationship management & customer service skills & experience - Well-defined written & verbal communication skills **Benefits & culture** Uniting is proud to be an EEO employer.
