A fantastic opportunity exists for the right manager ready to dive into a new role and a coastal lifestyle change. Cheeky Dog Bar is a fun, 1100m2 Bistro, Sports & Cocktail Bar. The venue is located as apart of Bannisters Port Stephens, home to ‘Rick Stein at Bannisters,’ poolside Terrace Bar, Spa Bannisters and luxury accommodation. You’ll be apart of a part of a diverse team and supported by a crew of hospitality professionals with marketing, finance and operational support while having the freedom of brand autonomy. Opened in for Christmas 2019, Cheeky Dog was just getting off the ground when COVID hit. Up and running again, we are looking for someone to make their mark on the venue and run it to it’s full potential.

**Who are we looking for?**

We are looking for a manager who leads from the front and focuses on building relationships. We are looking for someone who brings 5 years of experience to this role and motivates and trains their staff through their own great customer service style.

To succeed in this position, you will need to put People first, willing to put in the time to build relationships with the locals and get involved in the community to understand what they want.

A strong background in gaming across EGM’s and TAB is advantageous. We are looking for someone who is willing to try new things to drive revenue while being supported by a team for marketing, compliance and controls.

Knowledge across operational software is assumed, but experience in Deputy, SwiftPOS and Lightyear will get you off to a flying start.

**What will you be doing?**

Day to day you will be supporting the venue manager and hotel duty managers across operations. Primarily your role is about the guest experience across bar, gaming and food service, and how to improve it. You will be key in developing your team and settings standards for service across hiring, training and rostering. You will be across gaming operations and the handling of cash and all licensing issues.

We are currently trading from 11am until midnight over summer and weekends. We’re a flexible management team and all work together to make sure your days away are covered. Live in a cracking part of the coast, just 50minutes from Newcastle and 3 hours north of Sydney.

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
