**Your role**
We have an exciting opportunity within our Procurement team for the role of Assistant Project Officer working in the Finance and Procurement Services branch.
The role is a part of a supportive and collaborative team, driven to support the delivery of Procurement systems and business related outcomes.
As an Assistant Project Officer, you will be undertaking a range of tender administration duties, contract disclosures, reporting and administrative activities to support the development and delivery of projects, in line with established procurement plans and objectives. You will be managing a number of tenders and disclosures whilst utilizing procurement systems including Procurement Central, eTenders and BuyNSW Tenders. You’ll also be managing the procurement mailbox and providing advice on processes and policies.
**What you’ll do**
The role consists of publishing tenders and disclosing DCJ’s contracts that are over $150k and gathering all necessary information from stakeholders via a procurement contract management system.
In addition as part of the Procurement team within Finance and Procurement Services division, you will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Provide procurement and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on procurement plans, milestones and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved project plans
- Update and collate documentation and records regarding relevant issues, policies and practices to ensure the delivery of procurements complies with agreed policies and processes
- Assist the project team to complete procurement tasks and implement plans to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding procurement status and supplier issues
- Provide a range of secretariat and administrative services, including coordinating committee meetings and preparing papers, to support procurement delivery
We work in a close knit team consisting of 5 team members to provide support to the wider procurement team consisting of approximately 45 staff members.

- Demonstrated ability to consult and liaise with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels to build strong collaborative relationships and drive mutual benefits and outcomes.
- Ability to be flexible and to show initiative and respond quickly when situations change.
- Proven experience in procurement will be highly regarded.
