We make really amazing skincare that is fun and transparent and are looking for a Laboratory and Regulatory Assistant with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or soon to be graduating Chemist looking join a start up with exciting growth and project opportunities.

Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for testing and researching raw materials, identifying new product opportunities, processing samples and supporting our Quality and Assurance Manager with GMP compliance and regulatory responsibilities. In addition to working with various partners to develop best in class formulations, you will be responsible for researching claims and compliance.

This is an exciting role for an aspiring Chemist who enjoys freedom, autonomy, creativity and variety in their role whilst understanding the crucial importance of safety, transparency and compliance in the formulation of skincare that will wow in all aspects every, single, time.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Process and review product samples.
- Research claims justification and documentation.
- Liaise with external laboratories regarding bulk manufacturing, testing compliance.
- Analysis of raw materials and in-house quality control checks.
- Maintain laboratory records.
- Perform batch release of finished product.
- Manage packaging specifications and Quality Control records.
- Co-ordinate stability trials in-house and to external labs.
- Provide compliance and regulation documentation including support paperwork for international distribution partners.
- Manage all new project development activities and planning.
- Partner with the Quality Manager throughout the scale up from lab sample to manufacturing processes (product formulation and development, from prototyping to commercial manufacture).
- Develop, monitor and continually improve on a raw material data base including new innovation of raw materials.
- Adhering to relevant SOPs, GMP, and other safety regulations in all matters.
- GMP compliance responsibilities.
- Degree qualification (or near completion) in Chemistry or similar science field.
- Enormous passion for skincare formulations and performance.
- Crazy about innovation and being able to balance creativeness and commercial understanding.
- Excellent administrative, attention to detail and project management.
- Excellent Excel and Google Doc skills.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 23 per week
