**The Opportunity**:
CSL has an opportunity available for an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team. Working as part of the EHS team, the EHS Specialist is responsible for providing advice and assistance on Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability programmes across CSL businesses. You'll work as part of the Environment Health Safety and Sustainability (EHS) team to meet business compliance under relevant legislation and continuous improvement.

The role partners with CSL businesses in ensuring CSL activities meet standards for environmental, health and safety management and to deliver continuous improvement.

**The Role**:
Reporting to the EHS Site Lead, your responsibilities include:

- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, ease of doing business in addition to process and procedure simplification
- Facilitate co-operation between management and employees in developing and carrying out measures designed to proactively identify and manage closure of EHS issues through relevant committees and teams
- Facilitate incident investigations, participate in incident investigation analysis and ensure corrective actions are completed
- Complete EHS management systems monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives as part of EHS team. Implement initiatives that improve departmental management of EHS. Review statistics and other reports to identify trends and preventative action measures applicable to base location

**Your skills and experience**:

- Degree or equivalent in relevant discipline from a recognised tertiary educational institution within the disciplines of OHS, Engineering or Science related studies
- 8+ years experience in a manufacturing or regulatory environment or an environmental or health and safety related function with practical experience implementing environmental and sustainability programmes
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, standards and practical measures for the safe storage, handling and use of hazardous chemicals
- Demonstrated detailed understanding of environmental and health and safety management principles and systems
- Knowledge of and exposure EHS Management systems standards
