**About the role**

We currently have an exciting permanent full time opportunity for a Building Compliance Officer to join the team.

**This position is responsible for**:

- Investigating and resolving customer requests/complaints relative to unauthorised building works and land uses
- Being responsive to community expectations through education within a regulatory role
- Participating in a team environment in programmed inspections related to restricted premises and boarding houses to ensure safety and legislative compliance.

**About You**
- Tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying, Town Planning, Investigations or related discipline
- Working knowledge of legislation relevant to the position
- A valid /current Class C drivers licence
