We are urgently seeking a Housing Officer (Inspections) for a 2 month temporary assignment within a Queensland Government Department located in the Fortitude Valley.

Housing Officers may work in a number of teams in a Housing Service Centre, providing property management services and advice to clients with complex support needs, advocates and other stakeholders. Your role will provide a high quality, person-centred social housing and housing assistance service to diverse clients experiencing complex and challenging housing, and whole of life issues in person.

**Key responsibilities for this role are**:

- Conducting property safety inspections and reporting on any maintenance issues to ensure compliance standards are met
- Maintaining accurate client and property records and file notes

**Applicants will need to**:

- Be Compliance focused
- Have proven experience and examples of managing your work effectively
- Willingness to embrace new challenges and adapt to change
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills that focus on professional, ethical and culturally sensitive behaviour
- Positive attitude and team player approach with experience adapting to different work tasks on a daily basis to support organizational goals
- A good level of Physical fitness
- Open C Class Drivers Licence
- Due to the nature and responsibilities of this position, consent to a national criminal history check will be required prior to any offer of employment being made (and any record of disclosable court outcomes or pending charges will be considered based on relevance to the position being applied for)._
