- Part-time (0.6FTE), fixed term contract until 30 June 2026
- Starting salary: $63,897 pro rata per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

**About the Role**

Reporting into the Associate Professor, you will support the Population Health Chemistry Research Group by processing wastewater samples using existing extraction methods, preparation of calibration standards for analytical methods and calibrating common laboratory apparatus. You will work closely with researchers and postgraduates to maintain efficient lab operations and a safe working environment.

**Essential Skills and Experience**
- Relevant post-secondary qualification in laboratory procedures
- Experience with sample preparation and using extraction methods in a research lab
- Ability to perform some repetitive work with a high level of consistency and accuracy
- Understanding of lab safety, Good Laboratory Practise (GLP) and handling hazardous materials
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
