AV is seeking a data processor/coder for our Research and Evaluation Department working in the cardiac registries team. This is a full time, permanent position currently based in Blackburn North, with hybrid work from home options available.

**About the role**

Reporting to the Registry Coordinator, the responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:

- Checking AV electronic Patient Care Records, dispatch data, hospital data and patient follow-up data for accuracy and completeness and entering data into VACAR (Victorian Ambulance Cardiac Arrest Registry) and/or VASQI (STEMI Quality Initiative)
- Maintaining up to date and accurate data entry records and quality control status to enable straightforward cross-validation of data
- Providing input into design processes to improve the efficiency of the registries
- Developing close working relationships with team members and relevant business units, ensuring business unit needs and requirements are understood and met

**About you**

To be considered for this position you will possess:

- A clinical qualification such as Nursing, Public Health, Health Information or Health Science (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience with clinical data entry, data cleaning and manipulation, preferably within the health, emergency services or university research sectors
- A very high level of data entry and keyboard skills with strong attention to detail.
- Interest in cardiac practice or research (desirable)
- The right to live and work in Australia

It is also expected that you have a demonstrated experience with databases including some basic programming with the ability to operate in an environment requiring teamwork, combined with the need to maintain confidentiality.
