Your Opportunity
**As the Administration Officer, you will**:
Coordinate and undertake activities associated with the administration of the Faculty or work unit.
This position reports to the Supervisor, User Choice.
This is a Temporary Full Time opportunity, to 27 June 2025 unless otherwise determined.
The position will be based primarily at Ashmore Campus however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to effective and efficient administrative systems, practices and processes to ensure continuity of a quality service to all clients.
Develop strategies and participate in audits to ensure quality of client management functions such as student records.
Provide a range of administrative services utilising various software packages including word processing, spread sheeting, Access databases, Federal Government databases, timetabling software, student administration systems and learning management systems.
Actively participate in administrative reviews and work practice improvements.
Provide supervision and direction to administrative staff within the work area.
Undertake research and development on matters relating to business functions.
Ensure day to day activities align with business operations.
Contribute to improvement in business processes and practices.
Model and actively promote an ethical and safe work environment that supports a culture of zero harm and best practice regarding health, safety, wellness and sustainability.
How you will be assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
Demonstrated ability to coordinate and prioritise the delivery of an effective administrative service in an environment of strict and competing deadlines with a focus on quality client service.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively liaise, consult and negotiate with a broad range of clients and work both independently and within a team.
Displays the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.
Well-developed knowledge of and skill in the utilisation of a variety of software packages and of computerised management information systems.
Basic understanding of human resource management issues including occupational health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination as applied in a working environment.
