(Insurance) Directly supervises the activities of the assigned claims unit and provides advice to Claims Officers on general Company claims policy.

The key success criteria for the role includes:
- Reduction in average claims processing time- Improved claims settlement rate- Decrease in claims costs including a reduction in claims leakage- Increase in accuracy of claims assessment outcomes- Reduction in claims rework and errors including adherence to regulatory and compliance obligations

By achieving these key success criteria, the Technical Coach will contribute indirectly to the Motor Claims financial performance and overall customer satisfaction through improved technical capability of the claims team. Most importantly will be the technical capability growth of our claims consultants, which will provide our employees with the opportunity to develop and progress in their career at Auto & General.

The Technical Coach reports to the Manager, Recoveries & Settlements Optimisation

The purpose of the Technical Coach is to provide expert technical guidance and leadership to motor claims consultants. As the Technical Coach you will be responsible for supporting Team Leaders to uplift consultant capability to ensure effective management and resolution of complex Motor Insurance Claims, while promoting adherence to established policies and procedures.

Maintaining cost effective settlements and claims leakage management will be essential to ensure that Auto & General commitments under the policy are fully met, and Industry and Company standards and regulatory and compliance obligations are met.

You will support the Team Leader in delivering prompt, efficient, quality claims services through your coaching support to consultants to assist consultants in achieving performance of cost, compliance, quality and productivity targets.
