**Your Role**:
As the **Manager, Policy, Advocacy and Industry Relations **you will support the Society’s research, policy development and advocacy so as to influence public policy on structural issues which impact the people we serve. Enhance our ability to influence decision-makers and the wider community by empowering Society people to take action for a more equitable and just society.

**Your Responsibility**:

- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments to identify potential opportunities and risks for the Society NSW
- Develop and communicate, with the team, informed policy positions and advice based on data analysis, primary and secondary research, and consultation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry and peak bodies as well as our industry colleagues on behalf of the Society NSW
- Develop and implement an engagement strategy and plan for the Society NSW with its relevant peak bodies and other partners
- Manage research projects to inform and enhance our service delivery and shape public policy to improve the lives of the people we assist.

**You Will Need**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification/s and minimum 8 years experience in a similar field.
- Proved track record of successful advocacy and influencing public policy
- Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills
- High level research and analytical skills with the ability to synthesise information from a wide range of sources into clear policy positions and recommendations
- Ability to develop and implement advocacy strategies based on sound political judgement, collaboration and engagement.
