**About the Role**:
The Development Assessment Planner will assess Development Applications in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, and other relevant Acts and legislation, while communicating and promoting council policies.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Communicate key Development Assessment processes and procedures to non-technical specialists
- Ensure services, communications and dealings with the public and external bodies are of a high standard
- Provision of professional advice to management and the public in relation to matters relevant to the Directorate, including producing reports to Council or the Local Planning Panel and Regional Planning Panel on matters relevant to the position.
**Key Skills**:
- Degree qualifications in Town Planning or related discipline
- Working knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and other relevant legislation
- Class C Drivers Licence
