About the School Toowoomba West Special School is a primary school age special school. We have worked to establish and embed a culture of learning and wellbeing. About the Role **As the Head of Department (Curriculum), you will**: - Lead curriculum focus in line with school and departmental initiatives, including the rollout of Australian Curriculum V9.0 Prep-Year 6. - Participate in delivering the vision of State Schools Division. - Develop the quality of teaching and learning aligned to the schools Pedagogical Approach. - Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders. - Form strong partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups. The Head of Department (Curriculum) is accountable to and under the direction of the Principal or delegate. **The successful applicant will**: - Have excellent interpersonal skills for both staff and students. - Demonstrated teaching competence and capacity to provide curriculum leadership, leading to the achievement of quality learning outcomes for all students in a Prep-Year 6 context. - Lead projects that enable students to achieve to their full potential. - Capacity to use analytical skills and data analysis to contribute to educational outcomes at school level.
