**Role**:
- Objectives will, generally, be clearly defined; guidelines will be broad and day-to-day direction mínimal. Management responsibility extends to ensuring appropriate support levels are maintained across the school. Range 4 generally provides key support and timely advice to the leadership team and school council and liaises with the general school community, the Department and other government agencies and service providers.
- Specialised professional roles will carry a high level of independence and accountability where suitable scope is provided to achieve objectives.
- An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students, but must not include duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor. Supervision of students cannot be required except where it is an integral part of the employee¿s position or involves supervision of students individually or in small groups, in controlled circumstances, where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.
**Responsibilities**:
**Timetabler**
- Curriculum Implementation
- Design and construct timetables and schedules optimising student access and the utilisation of resources
- Facilitate Timetable Team meetings and manage associated documentation
- Ensure that the design of scheduling supports best practice teaching and learning strategies
- Creating and managing a Yard Duty Roster
- Maintain current documentation and advice around allotments and workforce planning for future needs
- Provide advice to Curriculum and Consultative Committee on the implementation of curriculum initiatives
- Provide advice to the Principal class team on required staffing profile and plan for future staffing needs.
- Student Learning
- Develop the blocking grid each year to maximise student access to selected courses
- Maintain accurate and current data on enrolment in classes through the management of relevant databases
- Review and audit program structure and gather feedback including use of data
- Administration and Management
- Support the day to day running of the school in consultation with the Principal Team and liaising with the Daily Organiser
- Liaise with the Data Manager to ensure accuracy of relevant databases including their regular updating to reflect changes to classes or staffing
- Implement a process for creating staff allotments that considers teacher preferences and professional growth, student outcomes, and College requirements
- Work with Learning Area Leaders and staff to establish teaching allotments
- Ensure that rooms are allocated to classes on the basis of curriculum need
- Develop Transition timetables
- Be a member of the Curriculum Committee and Consultative Committee, attend meetings and provide advice relevant to this role
- In conjunction with School Operations ensure staffing needs associated with extended leave are identified
**Other potential responsibilities**Daily Organiser**
- Engage CRT's to replace staff on leave
- Arrange room changes as required
- Keep the CRT pool up to date
**Human Resources
- School Local Payroll**
- Facilitate onboarding and offboard of casual employees
- Rehiring of casual SLP applicants
- Conduct referee checks for CRT EOIs
- Reconcile time sheets against Edval Daily
- Approving timesheets
- Advise/Assist SLP employees on timesheet entry/edupay management
- Any other duty as directed by the Principal and/or Business Manager
