Billing Specialist Team Leader

About the role:
You’ll provide day-to-day operational management of the team, and you’ll coach, develop and mentor your team members as we strive to make energy simple, honest and transparent for our customers.
A fundamental requirement of your role is to capture, extract and review the interpretation of data sets across multiple information systems. You will be expected to review and implement solution development and the reporting of key performance outcomes. Through these outcomes you are accountable for the process improvement opportunities either through automation or process improvement.
Your key activities will include:

- Identify and implement training, and provide appropriate documentation
- Manage the change control process for the Billing Department
- Lead, coach, mentor and empower your team
- Manage the daily operational requirements of your team
- Manage and resolving escalated or complex issues
- Identifying and driving process improvement /efficiencies designed to increase productivity

About you and your experience:
As an emerging leader, you’ll bring leadership and people development skills from a previous role, as well as operational experience and expertise in Billing.
- A high level of attention to detail, customer service, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Experience in analytics and reporting
