The Role:
As the Lead Product Manager, you'll be part of the Product Capability and Integration team. On a day-to-day basis, you'll play a key role in driving strategic projects and initiatives aimed at the future development and enhancement of products and capabilities within the Business Payments portfolio, including BPAY and real-time payments on the New Payments Platform.

Your focus will be on supporting existing account-to-account payment products and expanding their capabilities to facilitate the broader Move to NPP. This will also involve integrating Business Payments products with other AP+ products and services.

Collaboration will be key in this role, as you'll work closely with other members of the Business Payments team and cross-functional teams within AP+. You’ll also engage with external stakeholders, including AP+, to ensure alignment and progress.

**Proposed Role Responsibilities are**:
As a Lead Product Manager, you’ll oversee both product development and support for the Move to NPP program and existing Business Payments products, balancing multiple key responsibilities:

- Lead and support a team within Business Payments, including Product Managers and analysts.
- Guide the product team in confirming scope, deliverables, and timelines.
- Take on a decider role to lead and prioritize squad work, ensuring alignment with product strategy.
- Drive the development and delivery of products and services.
- Partner with the broader Payments & Schemes team to define the go-to-market strategy.
- Identify process efficiencies and work with key stakeholders to remove blockers that could impact delivery.
- Take on additional duties as directed by the Lead Product Manager or their delegate.

**Proposed Position Requirements are**:

- Proven experience in end-to-end product management of account-to-account products or services specifically New Payments Platform (NPP Payments), with exposure to relevant technologies and tools, across web and native mobile app product development.
- Proven strong ability to converse with a range of stakeholders including end-users at all levels of the organisation.
- Proven examples of leading a product from idea to launch and beyond.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in consulting or professional services, across Financial Services, Market Infrastructure and/or corporate initiatives.
- Account to account products.
- Detailed understanding of real-time payments and/or BPAY payments at a systems or operational level would be an advantage.
- Detailed understanding of payment process flows and messaging.
