**About the role**:
The Autonomous Drill Specialist will be reporting directly to the Operations Technology Manager you will be responsible for:
- Participating in and leading strategic / technical discussions and collaborate in the creation of new ideas / roadmap for future development with cross functional teams, suppliers, vendors, technology developers and operations
- Leading and working with cross-functional teams to facilitate, and/or assist in project/program management
- Mapping and analysing current operations processes, systems, and data flows to assess preparedness for deployment of these new technologies
- Lead testing activities including test plans and documentation
- Strong problem solving, critical thinking, human relations, and communication skills especially with a diverse group of team members including technicians, software and hardware engineers, managers, and executives (technical and non-technical groups)
- Supporting individuals in appropriate ways that develop trust, high levels of engagement and empowerment and enable individuals to provide their best efforts
- Complying with MinRes systems, process and safety procedures
**What you will bring to the team**:
- 5+ years of related industry experience in mining
- Prior experience implementing, maintaining, and/or optimising drill technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in the mining industry and understanding of new and emerging technologies
- People-focused, strongly positive and always able to empathise and engage with people on their own terms
- Willing to try new things, visit our sites and engage with a diverse range of people, cultures and mindsets
- Strong values when it comes safety and able to contribute to the existing positive safety culture here at MinRes
