Mascot, NSW, AU, 2020**About the Project**:
John Holland Seymour Whyte Joint Venture (JHSWJV) have been successfully awarded the contract for the design and construction of Sydney Gateway Stage 1 and Stage 3. The project includes 5 kilometres of new road, 16 bridges and close to 3 kilometres of active transport links.

Benefits of the project include increasing road capacity at Sydney airport, both domestic and international airports. As well as assisting traffic links to Port Botany and St Peter’s interchange. JHSWJV will support more than 4,000 jobs over the life of the project.

**Stage 1**: International Terminal and Qantas Drive connection - a new high-capacity road connection, linking the Sydney Motorway network at St Peter’s interchange with Sydney Airports International Terminal and Qantas Drive.

**Stage 3**: Domestic Terminal access - an arterial road connection and flyover to Sydney Airport’s Domestic Terminals. This Stage includes improvements to existing roads, to relieve congestion and improve connectivity to Sydney Airport Domestic Terminals and towards Port Botany.

**About the Role**:
We are currently looking for an experienced Safety/ COR Coordinator to play a key role in coordinating on-site teams to deliver relevant scopes of work in accordance with project plans and specifications to achieve effective performance within the designated time and budget. Implement site safety, quality and environment controls and identify, assess and escalate potential risks. Day to day tasks and activities will include but not be limited to;

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Coordinate the work and performance of multiple teams and subcontractors to achieve outcomes
- Liaising with subcontractors for heavy vehicle loads to ensure deliveries meet our COR standards and HVNL requirements
- Following up with subcontractors in the event of overloaded or incorrectly loaded trucks
- Assisting with monitoring the unloading and tracking of freight
- Ensure plant and materials transported between sites meets the COR requirements
- Provide and take leadership responsibility in health, safety, and COR management
- Contribute to development of work methods and rolling short term delivery programs and plan relevant audits and monitoring.
- Guide the Subcontrator Team(s) with respect to developing a safety culture on the project
- Comply with the Project’s WHS policy, management plans, systems, standards, and procedures
- Advise the Area Safety managers Project Manager(s) and supervisory staff of any identified WHS hazards and risks in the workplace
- Conduct regular inspections and observations of the heavy vehicles and plant including subcontractor activities, to ensure the WHS standards including site safety rules are observed and maintained,
- Assist the Plant Supervisor with the onboarding and inspection and scheduling of plant and equipment maintenance and or inspections
- Identify and report any identified changes on the worksite that could affect WHS in the workplace

**What You’ll Need to Succeed**:

- Knowledge and understanding of the Road Transport Act 2013
- Understanding of the Chain of Responsibility requirements
- Knowledge of the Workplace Health and Safety Act 2011
- Experience in fleet or asset management
- A minimum of 3 years working in a similar role within the Construction or Transport industry
