We are seeking an experienced and proactive Linehaul Scheduler to manage and oversee the operational aspects of the Northwest Linehaul Service, primarily between Perth and key regional locations, including Port Hedland and Karratha.
In this role, you will support Moving Services activities, ensure the smooth functioning of our branches, and drive efficiency and profitability within the Domestic and International products. You will work closely with WA franchises and 3rd party freight movement partners to maintain high standards and customer satisfaction.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure operational activities adhere to the requirements of the Quality System.
- Proactively identify and report real or potential issues and unsatisfactory practices to management.
- Maintain and promote the service reputation of the region, ensuring customer and community satisfaction.
- Fulfill responsibilities as outlined in the Quality Manual, including overseeing the scheduling of daily tasks and allocating resources effectively.
- Manage daily logistics, ensuring the efficient running of WA LHL operations and 3rd party freight services.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with WA franchises and key stakeholders.
- Oversee daily scheduling for labor, storage, vehicles, and handling aids, ensuring resource allocation aligns with operational needs.
- Pre-plan daily activities and ensure the most economical and efficient methods are employed.
- Coordinate client communications to confirm job arrangements and service delivery expectations.
- Support the Perth Operations Scheduler and Container Controller as needed.
- Assist the Operations Manager in managing depot labor and maximizing resource utilization.
- Cost and price straightforward removals and monitor trip costing.
- Conduct briefings and debriefings for drivers, ensuring paperwork is accurately completed and costs are allocated correctly.
- Manage all removal activities for the Northwest business, coordinating with other operations managers to optimize resources.
- Compile Inter-product Charge Sheets and submit them to the State Accountant as required.
- Verify and process Contract Carrier claims as necessary.
- Ensure drivers’ vehicle reports are accurate and promptly addressed.
- Maintain a high standard of vehicle appearance and report any accidents to the Operations Manager.
- Actively manage claims to ensure continuous improvement.
- Adhere to safe working procedures and ensure compliance with safety regulations, including the management of long-distance drivers’ fatigue.
- Take corrective action to prevent service failures and ensure that client specifications are met.

**Preferred Skills & Experience**:

- Proven leadership capabilities in a similar role.
- Expert knowledge in household goods relocation and removalist activities.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with effective communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license is required; an MR license or higher is highly advantageous.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Ability to remain prepared and act quickly in a fast-paced environment.

**Delegated Authority**:

- Authority to recommend changes to administrative or operational procedures to enhance efficiency and customer service.
- Full responsibility for reporting performance issues and identifying areas for development to the Operations Manager & National Project Manager.
