We are looking for an enthusiastic individual for a key leadership position within our Victorian region**:Business Group Leader, Plant and Process.
Someone with **a strong network around the Future Energy / Oil and Gas sectors **and able to drive business opportunities within the local market and beyond whilst enjoying a commitment to building our brand as a strong technical authority with a client-led mindset.
Our Plant and Process group includes 30 professionals in 3 teams across Melbourne and Traralgon in the Process, Mechanical and Industrial Electrical and Automation disciplines. This role is part of our Victorian leadership team and the National Future Energy strategy and has the potential to make a substantial impact to the broader business. The group is currently involved in a number of Future Energy projects such as the Yarra Valley Water Hydro-Gen 1 Production Plant, Barwon Water Renewable Organics Networks, Hydrogen Energy Supply Chain Project, along with critical green and brownfields projects supporting Tier 1 private and public energy, defence, mining and water clients.
**In this role you will**:
- Maintain and build your own identity and presence in the future energy market across Victoria and Australia
- Build a strong business development and winning work culture, with effective positioning and pursuit of large and strategic opportunities and expanding GHD's presence and market share.
- Lead the technical and commercial direction on projects, identifying and creating business opportunities and effectively managing risks.
**What would you bring to the team?**
- Engaging and motivating people skills backed by strategic problem-solving capabilities
- A relevant Engineering degree supported by solid relevant industry and consulting experience
- Commercially astute with strong project delivery experience, including providing support to Project Directors and Project Managers to deliver outstanding client experiences coupled with both technical and commercial performance on projects.
- Passionately innovative, with a drive to continuously evolve the way we work to deliver successful outcomes for our clients.
- High level market awareness and business development skills with a strong focus on client engagement and ideally a well-established network of relationships across the region and industry
- Strong communication and people management skills.
