**About the Job**:
Opportunities are currently available at our Melton South Resource Recovery Centre for part time and casusal roles. Outlook operates the Resource Recovery Centre and recycled goods shop at Melton South on behalf of the City of Melton.

Customers are able to drop off goods for disposal or recycling through the Resource Recovery Centre. We recycle many of the items or components dropped at the recovery centre.

These are ‘hands on’ and manual handling roles. Safety is always a not negotiable requirement. Due to the nature of the role and work environment, Your day my consist of tasks, including identifying items and salvaging them so they can be sold or recycled, working in the on-site recycled goods store, assisting customers to understand site rules and safely dispose of goods and material they have bought to site, moving material around the site and

Salvaging may involve handling material such as metal, wood, cardboard, mattresses, oil, car batteries, tyres, paint and general household items, in both an outdoor and indoor environment.

Our Recycled Goods Store sells salvaged items with a focus on recycling and reducing environmental footprint, these items may include household items, building materials, books, clothing, electrical items, nursery plants and garden supplies/products.

We seeking motivated people to join our diverse team to engage in a variety of both indoor and outdoor tasks which may include, shop duties, sorting of goods for sale and receiving donations. No two days will be the same, with the exception of being part of a great team

**About You**:
We are seeking motivated people, who enjoy a variety of tasks and indoor and outdoor work environments. Your day may include shop duties and sorting of goods for sale. and a work environment where no 2 ays will be the same.

You will bring to the team great customer service skills with a willingness to assist customers and team members, you are inclusive, reliable and punctual and follow and adhere to all safety protocal and safe work practices.

Skills which include a forklift licence and/or previous retail experience will be most welcome.

You may be a school leaver, looking to return to the workforce - we offer training, so if you ahve some but not all skills for the role, we would love to hear from you.

**More Information**:
You will be required to complete a Police check as well as a pre-employment medical assessment and drug and alcohol test.

Random drug and alcohol testing is mandatory once employed.
