About this Program

The Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) program is a collaborative service between Wellways and Monash Health. Springvale PARC is located in a community setting and provides an option for people who are becoming unwell or need a short period of additional support to strengthen their gains from spending time in an inpatient setting.

Our multidisciplinary recovery teams are creative, motivated and focused on ensuring positive experiences for participants and their loved ones. All our recovery services value cultural diversity, support and create opportunities for recovery, value peer participation and leadership and are underpinned by evidence-based best practice.

About the opportunity

Recovery Workers are integral to the PARC program as they work closely with participants in their recovery journey whilst at PARC, both individually and with their clinical care teams, and in leading a range of groups and activities onsite. Our Recovery Workers also provide key operational support and help create new innovations and improvements for the ongoing quality of the program.

PARCS operate 24/7 on a rotating roster and penalty rates apply for relevant hours.

What do you need?

• Minimum Certificate IV in Mental Health, AOD or Disability OR Tertiary qualification in social science or related discipline
• Demonstrated experience in the field of mental health and/or disability
• Current valid Driver's License and the ability to undertake travel for the role
• Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check
• Right to Work within Australia
• Satisfactory National Police Records Check (less than 12 months old)
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
