Our client is seeking a skilled Financial Systems Officer. As the Financial Systems Officer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining financial systems, ensuring their integrity, accuracy and compliance with regulations. You will work closely with the finance team to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to streamline financial processes.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage and maintain financial systems, including accounting software and databases
- Monitor financial transactions and ensure accuracy and completeness
- Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards
- Ensure compliance with regulations and accounting standards
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions
- Provide training and support to users of financial systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system integrations and upgrades
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required
**Essential Criteria**:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or working towards.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
- Experience with accounting software and databases (e.g. QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
