**About the team**:
Coles Express has recently been acquired by Viva Energy Retail, Australia’s largest single branded convenience and retail network.

Viva Energy Retail is a mobility and convenience division of Viva Energy Australia with a high-quality national network of fuel and convenience stores located in metro, regional and on main transport routes, and provides an advantaged position to serve the on-road and local suburban convenience markets.

**About the role**:
The Food To Go Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of the strategy for the food to go and coffee offer, a key growth pillar for the business. This is an exciting and challenging time to take on this role, as the business transitions from trading as the Coles Express brand, and with the upcoming acquisition of OTR, a leading South Australian based convenience retailer.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you’ll be empowered to lead and bring to life the positioning for food on the go and coffee. This will include the evolution of the own brand proposition and offer, driving awareness and sales of the offer through strong and differentiated go to market activations, and supporting new initiatives and trials. This role manages one direct report.

Whilst part of the Marketing team, this role works extremely cross functionally with Merchandise, Product Development and Operations.

You’ll also:

- Work with Insights to ensure holistic understanding of customer, market and trends, to develop right for customer growth opportunities
- Work closely with Product Development to ensure NPD is right for customers and adheres to own brand requirements
- Develop and manage own brand guidelines and visual identity, including packaging design
- Work with internal stakeholders to create measurement of our offer and adopt a constant improvement approach towards excellence
- Work closely with other Marketing team functions to deliver best outcomes for food to go and coffee across all marketing channels

**About you and your skills**:
You’re a customer led strategic thinker with own brand experience, who can commercialise a brand and an offer. You lead with the customer and think commercial implications.

With extensive QSR/Food/Retail marketing experience you’ve worked across the full suite of traditional marketing channels and can demonstrate experience across turning insights into action, brand development and NPD, and great go to market activations that deliver long term growth.

You’ll also have:

- Sound people coaching and leadership ability; this role has one direct report
- Excellent project management, time planning, and organisational skills
- High work capacity and prioritisation skills
- Exceptional stakeholder communication and influencing skills
- Strong commercial acumen
