Due to internal movement, we are currently looking for a Commercial Officer to join our corporate Commercial team, ideally based in Melbourne although other locations (Canberra and Brisbane) will be considered.

Reporting to the Strategic Commercial Manager, the Commercial Officer will provide general commercial support to the QinetiQ business in support of our existing customer contracts, new business opportunities and corporate needs. The role will have the opportunity to work across the broad spectrum of commercial activities, including contract management, estimating and pricing, procurement and subcontract management, export controls and risk management.

The role will be primarily assigned to commercial activities required to support the Advisory business. From time to time, the role will provide commercial support in the pursuit of business winning opportunities. The role also supports:
administration of QinetiQ’s commercial related policies, procedures, templates and training;
maintenance of QinetiQ’s Contract Management System; and

the maintenance of other commercial registers (e.g. export control, supplier assurance, consultancy subcontract environment).

**To be successful in the role you will need to bring with you**:
A Bachelor Degree in a commercial field, such as business, accounting, law or a related field

Experience gained in a commercial team, preferably in Defence Industry or a Government Department

Strong writing skills, with the ability to draft contract change proposals and letters.

Experience working in commercial/procurement administration and/or export controls would be highly desirable

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate at all levels
