**About the Role**
**Full time - Ongoing**

Reporting to Commercial Advisor the Commercial Officer assists in all aspects of contract management, using project, finance and commercial management skills. The role requires well-developed interpersonal communication skills to guide, influence and advise stakeholders and build effective professional relationships to successfully deliver contractual obligations and achieve business objectives.

**Position Outcomes**
- Assist in providing professional expertise to ensure the successful implementation of the Victorian Road Maintenance Contracts across Victoria, and that they provide best value and quality in line with relevant legislation and quality standards.
- Exercise professional independent judgement to develop innovative solutions to complex problems related to risk management, commercial performance and contractor management
- Build strong formal and informal networks both internally and externally. These relationships have been drawn on to achieve successful outcomes for DTP, Government and the Community.
- Act as a proactive member of the commercial team, ensuring the team are highly motivated, proactive and forward member of the commercial team.

**KEY SELECTION CRITERIA**

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**:
**Mandatory**
- Qualifications in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field experience

**Desirable**- Experience in working with performance based contracts
- Experience in finance and analytical reports
