**The Role**:
We are looking for 2 Lifestyle Officers based at our newly commissioned, state of the art Thornton Park residential aged care facility. This position will support the delivery of meaningful life programs to our residents and enable them to live their life to the full. This position will be offered at permanent full time basis. The role is part time 75 hours per fornight.

This position may also suit an experienced bus driver who is keen on expanding their skills and knowledge within the field of Leisure & Health.

**Your key responsibilities will be to**:

- Organise outings and bus trips for the residents of Thornton park in conjunction with the Lifestyle Coordinator (venue assessments, outing documentation, organising the logistic for the trip)
- Hybrid
- Drive the bus for the resident outings/bus trips
- Design and facilitate individualised leisure and lifestyle programs according to clients’ social, emotional, cultural, spiritual, physical and cognitive needs and abilities. This includes the provision of one to one activities, group activities and special events.
- Assist residents to achieve maximum independence, maintain friendships and participate in the community through planned group and individual leisure based activities.

- Facilitate the outing/bus trip program and complete associated documentation.
- Support the Leisure and Lifestyle Department to meet accreditation requirements.

**The Requirements**:

- Diploma or Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle qualifications (or working towards this)
- Passion for delivering high quality care that makes a difference for our residents.
- Eagerness to grow and develop your aged care career.
- Relevant experience in aged care (desirable)
- Excellent customer service & resident relation skills.
- Strong verbal, written and communication skills and commitment to continuous quality improvement.
- MR BUS LICENSE (or willing to obtain)
