**About the role**:
This position is situated within the MacKillop National After-Hours Services Unit which provides a responsive ‘after hours’ support service to our residential care, home based care, lead tenant and case management programs that provide support for young people with high and complex needs, and a therapeutically oriented program for young people in protective placements. The MacKillop National After-Hours Service provides after hours support across MacKillop Family Services National network of Out of Home Care programs. In addition, the service will coordinate after hours referrals for the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) and other external agencies as contracted.

**This is a Full time opportunity based in Preston, VIC within our MacKillop National After-Hours Service Program. The position reports to the After-Hours Coordinator.**

**Key Selection Criteria**:
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families.
- Experience in youth services or residential care.
- Ability to relate to and work with young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Ability to implement behaviour management plans for young people with challenging behaviours.
- Tertiary qualifications in youth work or relevant field.

- Valid and current Driver’s Licence;
