**About your new role**:
We are seeking a Team Leader, Financial Accounting to join our UniLodge team located at our Head Office in Brisbane CBD. You will have a key role within the finance team - with a high level of autonomy and responsibility and need to deliver a consistent, accurate and high-quality service.

You will be responsible for a wide range of duties including the full financial control and operation of numerous properties across Australia and New Zealand, along with head office corporate accounting responsibilities. You will have 2-3 direct reports who require ongoing mentoring and development.

Additional key responsibilities include:

- Preparation and review of accounts for Australian and New Zealand properties, including P&L, Balance Sheet, GST recs, cash flow statements, analysis and commentary
- Be responsible for the financial opening of new properties and building relationships with new building owners and property staff
- Play a key role in the preparation and review of annual budgets and quarterly forecasting, for both corporate and client budgets
- Provide financial and operational reviews, process improvements and monthly/quarterly reporting to a range of stakeholders
- Corporate accounting responsibilities including, but not limited to, GST, FBT, income tax, board pack reporting and analysis
- Debtors’ management and arrears review
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and be a key liaison with the external auditors for both the business and our building owners
- Lead and motivate staff, providing ongoing training and development to ensure team members can reach their potential
- Performance Development Reviews for all direct reports

**About You**:

- CA/CPA Qualified Accountant with solid commercial experience (required)
- Experience must be evident in the following areas (essential):

- o Multi-entity experience - preparation of accounts for multiple companies/branches
- o Strong variance analysis and analytical skills
- o Proven experience in budgeting and forecasting
- o Microsoft Excel skills to include all formulas
- o Management and mentoring of junior staff
- Proven experience in proactively identifying, suggesting and implementing system and process improvements
- Property management experience (desirable)
- Experience in Microsoft Business Central or BI360 Solver (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail & excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Self-motivated and proactive behaviours are a must with examples from work history.
- National Police Check (required)
