**Your Role and Responsibilities**

Mainframe Security Consultant has the responsibility to work on projects, both at consulting level as well as perform level. In addition, a consultant mentors and assists the Security Analysts to analyze and improve the tools and tasks within the security environment.In addition to daily operational activities this position will advise and work in conjunction with project implementation groups to ensure smooth integration of new systems into existing infrastructure.
- Problem management. (24 X 7 Support)
- Establish Security Delivery metrics at Global Delivery Centres and maturing in A/NZ
- Support the resolution of Critical Client Situations ensuring prompt service restoration, root cause analysis and implementation of long-term resolution
- Compliance to appropriate standards
- Project planning and management for multiple projects
- Ensuring that software update releases and security vulnerability notifications are implemented.
- Identify and initiate process re-engineering across Service Line as agreed with the Service Line Owner/Managers
- Ensuring that Change records and Problem records are closed within agreed time frames.
- Identify areas of opportunity where services can be improved to the customer or delivery costs can be reduced
- Any additional activities as directed by the Security Manager

**Key Accountabilities**

**Technical Knowledge**
- A minimum 12-month experience in the IT Security Delivery as a Security Analyst or similar role
- Technical understanding of Mainframe security infrastructure practices
- RACF and ACF2 technical skills
- TCP-IP based networking experience

**Authority**
- Support staff as required to ensure delivery of security services to the contracted level
- Advise peers, Kyndryl senior staff, Kyndryl executives and the customer in order to make decisions necessary to ensure that the security of the customers environment maintains intact
- Take action as necessary to stop any immediate threat to the security of the customers IT infrastructure from both internal and external sources
- Escalate issues to the Manager as required
- Act with authority as delegated by the Manager

**Relation, skills and judgement**
In this role there may be a requirement to work as a Team Leader and therefore the employee must be proficient at:

- Working alone with mínimal supervision
- Working as part of a team in the capacity as team lead
- Responsible for establishing a Technical and Certification framework to aid upskilling, best practise in service delivery and tool implementation in line with industry standards
- Clearly communicating concepts, ideas and objectives to peers and managers
- Manage the implementation of tactical solutions in short time frames to meet customer demands
- Providing advice as required to customers in line with current Network Security guidelines and accepted Kyndryl policy and procedure
- Collaborate with other Kyndryl areas where possible to leverage organisational knowledge
- Resolve issues to the benefit of all parties where possible
- Take responsibility for their actions

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Baseline Security Clearence
- 5+ years of experience in Mainframe Communication Services / Mainframe Networking
- High level RACF security skills
- Has a good understanding of Mainframe programming languages: JCL, REXX, CLIST and CARLA
- Has a good understanding of Digital certificates
- Have experience with the zSecure software suite
- Have experience in implementing security process, technical specifications and performing security health checks and other security processes
- Be able to perform risk based and compliance-based security reviews to identify risks and non-compliances to the security processes.

- High level ACF2
