Samsara Eco is looking for a Senior Fermentation Specialist to aid in developing microbial strains for the production of industrial enzymes. Samsara Eco is an enviro-tech company creating infinite recycling to end plastic pollution.

**The position...**

This will play a key role in operating and maintaining HPLC equipment, developing and validating analytical methods, and ensuring accurate and timely results. This role will oversee the day-to-day functions of HPLC and other analytical instruments, and involves sample preparation, method development, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining laboratory documentation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable analytical data and deliver organisational objectives.

**Key Responsibilities...**
- Operation of HPLC instruments efficiently and accurately following standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Perform routine calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HPLC equipment to ensure proper functionality and reliability of results.
- Develop and optimise HPLC methods for the analysis of various compounds.
- Troubleshoot and resolve analytical and QC challenges promptly, implementing improvements as needed.
- Provide HPLC training and technical support to laboratory staff.
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to deliver, communicate, and report on analytical data.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, including lab notebooks, data files, and SOPs.

**Requirements...**
- Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry or related field, or 2+ years of industry experience without a Ph.D.
- Proven track record of developing and validating analytical methods, particularly for QC processes.
- Experience in method development, analysis, and maintenance using HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS, and other analytical techniques.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities with acute attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to convey complex analytical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
